As a Solar Field Service Technician I, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining utility-scale solar systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits - Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, IR scans - Assign work, track progress, and keep jobs on schedule - Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale solar plants - Inspect completed work and ensure it meets quality and safety standards - Enforce safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site - Diagnose system issues and resolve them in the field - Complete work orders, service logs, and required documentation - Operate and maintain company vehicle and tools - Train and support junior technicians in the field Required Qualifications: - 1-2+ years of utility-scale solar experience (solar farms / ground-mount systems) - Experience working on megawatt-scale PV systems (NOT residential rooftop solar) - Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems, power electronics) - Experience with solar O&M / maintenance work - Working knowledge of OSHA / NFPA 70E safety standards - Experience using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and testing equipment - Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) - Lift and move equipment up to 50lbs - Travel role (frequent travel to solar farm sites) - Work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust) - Must follow all OSHA and company safety requirements Preferred Qualifications: - Candidates residing in the Tucson, Arizona area preferred Required Skills: Utility-scale solar systems, Megawatt-scale PV systems, Electrical troubleshooting and repair, Inverters, DC systems, Power electronics, Solar operations and maintenance, OSHA safety standards, NFPA 70E safety standards, Multimeters, Meggers, Amp clamps, Testing equipment, Microsoft Office, Training and supporting junior technicians Benefits: Performance and referral bonuses, Production incentives, Tool/equipment and fuel stipends, Company vehicle, Per diem or other applicable compensation, Comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, 401k with employer match, Paid time off, Tuition reimbursement, Professional development courses, Medical, dental and vision insurance, Flexible spending accounts, HSA option, Paid vacation and paid holidays, Company-matching 401(k) Retirement, Life Insurance, Tuition reimbursement, Professional development training, Company vehicle, phone, laptop, or tablet along with all necessary tools and safety equipment
