Job Description
Summary: Pearce Services is a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure. They are seeking a Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers, requiring independent and motivated individuals ready to travel in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair generators, perform diagnostics, and install/replace components or entire systems
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure generator readiness
- Install fuel and water lines, pumps, electrical wiring, and controls; test for proper operation
- Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms and be on call 24/7 if necessary
- Maintain safety and awareness of potential hazards; attend safety and training meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance preferred; minimum one year of intense work-related experience in generator and electrical maintenance
- Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; understanding of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills
- Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds, perform physical tasks, drive long distances, and work flexible hours
- Must pass a DOT physical and comply with OSHA Standards
