Summary: Pearce Services is a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure throughout North America. They are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers, requiring travel and a commitment to safety and maintenance standards. Responsibilities: - Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and replace components or entire systems, and perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment - Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair - Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, and test for proper operation - Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms and be available for on-call duties 24/7 if necessary - Perform work with awareness of all potential hazards, including falls, electric shock, and traffic; use safety equipment and practices; attend safety and training meetings Required Qualifications: - Minimum of one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes - Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair - Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components - Moderate computer skills - Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations - Ability to comply with OSHA Standards and pass a DOT physical - Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods - Willingness and ability to drive long distances, work various hours including overtime, and assume 24-hour on-call duty when required Preferred Qualifications: - Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance - Electrical experience preferred Required Skills: Generator maintenance, Electrical experience Important Skills: regulations, Mechanical components Nice-to-Have Skills: Basic computer skills Benefits: Health and life insurance, 401k with employer match, Paid time off, Tuition reimbursement, Professional development courses, Medical, dental and vision insurance, Flexible spending accounts, HSA option, Paid vacation, Paid holidays, Company-matching 401(k) Retirement, Life Insurance, Professional development training, Company vehicle, Phone, Laptop, or tablet, All necessary tools and safety equipment
