Summary: Pauley Construction, LLC is a regional contractor specializing in utility infrastructure installation and maintenance across the Western United States. The Drafter/Designer role involves creating accurate network maps, layouts, and detailed electronic construction prints for telecommunications networks, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position supports the execution of projects related to Outside Plant network designs and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- You will assist with the execution of projects and plans supporting the organization's long-term drafting strategy
- Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software
- Develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks
- Work with Engineering and Construction departments and coordinate with permitting agencies
- Create documentation and reporting to support the work package, ie: bill of materials, labor quantities, etc
- Ensure facility designs follow company standards and comply with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations, which may include Rural Utilities Service (RUS)
- You will identify and course correct project issues and risks, participate in response plans to resolve
- Provide any documentation required for the cost-effective placement of communication facilities
- Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or at least three years of telecommunications
- Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver's license
- May be required to work after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position
- You will have training in the field
- You will have good interpersonal skills
- You will have solid experience with the principles and practices of fiber specific projects, network deployments and related fields
- Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low
- The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate
- Employees performing these job functions are required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds in a shift with assistance
Preferred Qualifications:
- You may have 1 or more years of progressive experience in drafting - You may have proficiency in Auto CAD
- You may have advanced training in the field
