Summary: Patterson Companies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Azure AI Developer & DevOps Engineer Intern to join their engineering team. This role involves building and operating a modern cloud-native platform in Microsoft Azure while gaining hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and applied AI. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements on an Azure-hosted online platform - Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders in a remote team environment - Assist with DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments - Help integrate and experiment with AI-driven tools and workflows - Participate in design discussions and share ideas to improve platform capabilities - Communicate progress regularly and document work clearly Required Qualifications: - Recently graduated (within the last 6 months), or - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, CIS, Software Engineering, or a related field - Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others - Comfortable working remotely and sharing progress - Understanding of cloud fundamentals, especially Microsoft Azure - Basic knowledge of DevOps concepts (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps experience is a plus) - Foundational understanding of AI concepts and their use in the development lifecycle - Experience using an IDE such as Visual Studio - Basic data knowledge with technologies such as SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or similar Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines - Experience with Git-based workflows - Familiarity with REST APIs or cloud services - Interest in AI-assisted development and automation Required Skills: Microsoft Azure, DevOps concepts, AI concepts Important Skills: SQL Server Nice-to-Have Skills: IDE experience, Communication skills, Remote collaboration Benefits: Hands-on experience working on a real Azure-based platform, Exposure to modern DevOps practices and cloud-native architecture, Practical experience applying AI in real-world development scenarios, Mentorship from experienced engineers, A strong foundation for a career in cloud engineering, DevOps, or AI-enabled development
