Job Description
Summary: Patterson Companies, Inc. is a partner that values professional growth and diversity among its employees. They are seeking an Azure AI Developer & DevOps Engineer Intern to join their engineering team, where the intern will work on cloud-native platforms in Microsoft Azure and gain hands-on experience in DevOps automation and applied AI.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements on an Azure-hosted online platform
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders in a remote team environment
- Assist with DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments
- Help integrate and experiment with AI-driven tools and workflows
- Participate in design discussions and share ideas to improve platform capabilities
- Communicate progress regularly and document work clearly
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others
- Comfortable working remotely and sharing progress
- Understanding of cloud fundamentals, especially Microsoft Azure
- Basic knowledge of DevOps concepts (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps experience is a plus)
- Foundational understanding of AI concepts and their use in the development lifecycle
- Experience using an IDE such as Visual Studio
- Basic data knowledge with technologies such as SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Git-based workflows
- Familiarity with REST APIs or cloud services
- Interest in AI-assisted development and automation
