Job Description
Summary: Panther Life Sciences is pioneering a new class of skin health and therapeutic products through its proprietary microneedle array patch platform. They are seeking a Process Development Engineering Intern to support the design and development of manufacturing processes for these patches, focusing on creativity and problem-solving in a hands-on role.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and scale-up of manufacturing processes for microneedle array patches (MAP)
- Design and test vacuum-based systems for material distribution and drying, including active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)
- Design, build and source equipment for automated liquid dispensing systems for low-volume, high-precision applications
- Support characterization activities of microneedle patch products and devices
- Document designs, experiments and results to support process development
Required Qualifications:
- M.S. or Ph.D. students currently pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline are eligible
- Strong hands-on engineering and prototyping skills
- Experience with mechanical design, laboratory equipment or automation
- Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, resource-constrained environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with intricate process development and a grasp of vacuum force utilization
