Summary: Gallagher Staging and Productions is an industry leader in production staging, custom fabrication, and truss structures for entertainment and special events. They are seeking a Metal Finisher to assist in their Fabrication Warehouse, responsible for detailing and finishing parts according to blueprint designs and ensuring production efficiency. Responsibilities: - Detail and finish parts per blueprint designs - Grind, file or sand surfaces to finish surfaces per production requirements - Examine surfaces to detect defects, such as dents, scratches or breaks - Maintain production efficiency levels - Ensure timely and accurate performance of responsibilities - Adhere to all safety rules and regulations - Receive and follow instructions - Proactively participate, offer and provide guidance and assistance to others in workflow process, procedures, projects and committees - Continuously maintain a clean and orderly work area - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Basic construction skills to work with steel, aluminum, wood, foam and more - Work well in a team environment - Positive work attitude - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - The ability to lift up 70 lbs - Ability to stand long hours, use hands and wrist continuously in controlled movement - Ability to maintain work in a fast-paced environment - Self-motivated with the initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes - Excellent organization and time management skills - Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays as required Required Skills: Construction skills, Metal finishing, Grinding, Filing, Sanding, Blueprint reading, Surface defect detection, Positive work attitude
