Job Description
Summary: Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) is a leading provider of energetic materials and devices for military and commercial applications. The Test Technician II is responsible for performing environmental, destructive, and electronics testing in a laboratory environment, supporting design verification and acceptance testing of pyrotechnic and electronic products.
Responsibilities:
- Perform destructive testing, functional testing, and electrical testing in a lab environment
- Conduct testing in accordance with written procedures (ATPs/QTPs)
- Interpret dimensional drawings and perform test setups
- Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and environmental chambers
- Perform routine daily equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
- Load and program environmental chambers (as experience develops)
- Troubleshoot, calibrate (daily checks), and adjust test equipment
- Correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts
- Use small hand tools and testing devices
- Participate in process improvement and 5S
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters is helpful but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience preferred
- Ability to read drawings and follow procedures
- Basic computer skills required
- Energetics/explosives experience highly valued
- High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or military experience preferred
- Aerospace/defense experience preferred but not required
