Job Summary: The Product Manager will be responsible for driving and executing strategic marketing programs that build a sustainable and profitable business across highly clinical product categories, including respiratory, enteral feeding, electromedical, and patient monitoring, with the opportunity to expand into additional specialty areas. This role will own the product roadmap, innovation pipeline, and category growth strategy, leading new product development initiatives from concept through commercialization. Working in collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Product Manager will identify market opportunities, develop business cases, and execute strategic initiatives that support long-term business growth and category expansion. This position is accountable for building strong value propositions, optimizing portfolio performance, and ensuring successful product launches that meet customer needs and financial objectives. The role will report to the Director of that department.
The salary range for this position will be $130,000- 135,000 annually with a 10% bonus eligibility.
Core Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, evaluate, and champion new product development opportunities by assessing market trends, unmet customer needs, competitive gaps, and emerging technologies, translating insights into actionable innovation strategies and commercialization plans.
Develop and manage the multi-year product roadmap aligned with business strategy, customer needs, and market opportunities.
Identify, prioritize, and manage the innovation pipeline for new product launches, line extensions, portfolio expansion, and white space opportunities.
Lead cross-functional stage-gate processes from concept through commercialization, ensuring milestone achievement and launch readiness.
Work in tandem with cross-functional teams in the development and execution of strategic and new product development projects that support the long-term vision of the business.
Partner with sourcing, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to evaluate product feasibility, specifications, cost optimization, supplier capabilities, and commercialization readiness.
Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Compliance teams to ensure product compliance, claims substantiation, and successful market introduction.
Perform product and category-level P&L analyses to optimize profitability and support investment decisions.
Perform data analysis to inform business decisions, forecast business results, and evaluate manufacturing and supply implications.
Pull insights from multiple sources and synthesize them into compelling recommendations for customers, leadership, and the sales organization.
Work closely with sales teams, global sourcing, and key stakeholders to address day-to-day business needs, including timely resolution of issues requiring cross-functional support.
Manage the product portfolio to maintain a strong value proposition and competitive market position.
Monitor the global marketplace, competitive landscape, and industry trends to identify risks and growth opportunities.
Conduct VOC, market research, and direct customer engagement with clinicians and key opinion leaders to identify unmet needs and translate insights into product strategy.
Develop and maintain product claims, collateral, training materials, launch plans, and commercialization tools.
Collaborate with Product Supply and Demand Planning teams to monitor demand forecasts versus production capacity and ensure inventory levels adequately support current and future demand while meeting working capital objectives.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the field sales team and support training, customer engagement, and the selling process.
Monitor post-launch product performance and implement corrective actions, optimization strategies, and portfolio improvements to drive adoption and profitability.
Drive long-term category growth strategy through portfolio expansion, competitive positioning, and strategic business planning.
Qualifying Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with a minimum of 6 years of prior business experience required; minimum of 3 years in Marketing/Product Management preferred. MBA desirable or equivalent experience.
Strong experience in new product development, product lifecycle management, and category strategy preferred.
Strong analytical, decision-making, influencing, and communication skills, including delivering presentations to large audiences.
Ability to decompose complex problems into structured action plans and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.
Experience analyzing large amounts of data and summarizing key insights to support strategic decision-making.
Capability to assess market landscapes, evaluate opportunities, and develop and implement business plans.
Ability to work independently, remain self-motivated, and complete projects within required timeframes with a strong bias for action.
Motivated by challenges with a strong sense of urgency, curiosity, and a competitive drive to succeed.
Ability to lead complex projects involving cross-functional and international teams while tracking progress against key milestones.
Strong team player capable of influencing across functions and operating effectively in a complex environment with competing priorities.
Strong financial acumen preferred, including exposure to P&L ownership, business case development, and basic financial modeling.
Ability to travel approximately 25% for supplier visits, conferences, customer meetings, and market research activities.
