Job Description
Summary: Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) offers an internship program called Intern the Otsuka Way, providing students with hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern will support the Finance organization during key points of the annual planning cycle, gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support FP&A teams during the annual forecasting and budgeting season by completing assigned analyses and manual tasks
- Perform data transfer and data validation between financial systems
- Conduct data analysis using Excel and database applications to support forecast and budget deliverables
- Update and refine budget templates, schedules, and report layouts for the upcoming 2027 Budget process
- Assist with routine financial reporting, documentation, and preparation of financial files
- Collaborate with Finance team members to ensure accurate, timely, and organized financial information
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate student graduating in the next 12-18 months, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with relevant coursework completed
- Ability to work onsite in the Princeton office 2–3 days per week
- Strong proficiency or coursework experience with Excel and comfort using databases or analytic tools
- Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship
- Can commit to full duration of internship program
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with multiple FP&A teams
- Highly motivated, dependable, and eager to learn

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial planning concepts or exposure to accounting/finance coursework is a plus
