The IT Intern will assist the IT department in various tasks, gaining hands-on experience and supporting IT projects while enhancing their skills in Information Technology. Responsibilities: - Monitor system performance and report any issues to the IT team - Assist in setting up and configuring hardware, including computers, printers, and other peripherals - Help install, and update software applications as needed - Provide basic training to users on new software and hardware - Assist in analyzing data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements - Support IT projects by conducting research, preparing reports, and coordinating with team members - Participate in security audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards - Help maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - Basic knowledge of programming languages, network systems, and cybersecurity principles - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks - Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos - Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence - Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization - Requires excellent grammar and spelling - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals - Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations - Requires a valid driver's license - Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, calculator, fax, photocopier, telephone, cell phone, etc - Requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Required Skills: Information Technology, Computer Science Important Skills: Programming languages, Network systems, Cybersecurity principles Nice-to-Have Skills: Microsoft Office, Problem-solving, Attention to detail, Communication skills, Teamwork skills, Independent work
