Home Improvement Sales Specialist at Orkin in Utica, NY

Summary: Orkin is a global residential and business service provider specializing in pest management services. They are seeking a Home Improvement Sales Specialist who will conduct home inspections, educate customers, and design protection plans to ensure homes are pest-free.

Responsibilities:
- Meet with homeowners to conduct comprehensive interior and exterior home inspections
- Identify termite activity, pest concerns, and conditions that may increase risk
- Educate customers about inspection findings and recommended solutions
- Design customized protection plans based on each customer's needs
- Build trust through professional consultations and exceptional customer service
- Follow up on company-provided leads and generate referral opportunities
- Prepare service agreements and documentation using company technology
- Manage your schedule and sales pipeline to achieve personal income and performance goals

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently in the field and while delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required. We cover the cost of training and licensing
- Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Willing to work in different types of weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience preferred!
