Commercial Lending Intern - Dallas at Origin Bank in Dallas, TX

They are currently seeking interns for their G.I.V.E Summer Internship Program, which provides valuable insight into the banking industry and focuses on developing business skills through real-world experiences. Responsibilities: - Assist with screening loan prospects by modeling company financials, creating pricing models, and performing company due diligence - Assist Commercial team with assimilating, filing, and distributing financial and collateral documentation to appropriate internal departments as needed once loans are closed - Organize and maintain customer files to assist Relationship Banker/Manager's ability to manage portfolios - Maintain current and ongoing knowledge of bank products and services; assist Relationship Banker/Manager with daily customer servicing - Provide ongoing support to commercial/business relationship managers for collateral and financial statement tracking and exception management - Prepare a mock loan presentation to demonstrate understanding of bank lending processes by incorporating financial data and risk assessments based on commercial lending guidelines Required Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Effective interpersonal skills - Proficient in time management, multitasking and prioritizing projects - General understanding of the banking industry - Able to work independently or with a team - Must have at minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred Major: Business Administration - Finance - Accounting Required Skills: Microsoft Office Important Skills: Multitasking, Banking industry knowledge, Written communication, Verbal communication, Interpersonal skills, Time management Nice-to-Have Skills: Prioritizing projects, Teamwork Benefits: Generous benefits and compensation tailored to your skills, experience, and education, Dream Manager program, One-on-one guidance from a nationally certified health and wellness coach, Free access to certified financial professionals
