Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Orchard Brooke Assisted Living Center in Orchard Park, New York. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional maintenance services. This is a full-time position, working a day shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure the smooth operation of all facilities and equipment • Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify and address any maintenance issues or concerns • Respond to resident requests for maintenance services and resolve issues promptly and professionally • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and effective workflow • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management • Perform tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
