Job Description
Summary: Oracle America, Inc. is a leading company that integrates data, infrastructure, applications, and expertise to drive innovation. The Software Developer 2 role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and testing software while applying knowledge of software architecture to enhance existing systems and suggest improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software
- As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications
- Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in software development using Java
- Experience in CAP theorem, consensus, and replication
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs
- Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of software applications
- Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure, including databases, networks, and compute systems
- Experience in database design, data modeling, and query optimization for SQL and NoSQL systems
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform and CloudFormation
- Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Experience with cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a software developer-related occupation
