We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a program that builds, deploys, and supports secure enterprise systems used by teams across multiple environments and locations worldwide. This team provides operational support and ensures systems remain reliable, secure, and available for users operating at different security levels in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Experience analyzing user needs, operational concepts, and high-level system architectures to develop clear and traceable system requirements.
- Proven ability to translate mission and user needs into system requirements specifications.
- Experience leading or contributing to system design and development activities.
- Ability to guide stakeholders in requirements formulation, evaluate alternative technical approaches, and conduct feasibility assessments.
- Experience integrating requirements, system design, and enabling technologies across complex systems.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate new system designs and capabilities into existing operational environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architecture and system design artifacts.
- Familiarity with system engineering management planning, including development or assessment of system engineering management plans (SEMPs).
- Experience supporting system integration, testing, and implementation planning.
- Ability to engage with government stakeholders on systems engineering technical issues, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Strong communication skills, with experience coordinating across technical teams, program leadership, and government oversight personnel.
- Accountability for the technical quality, integrity, and completeness of assigned systems engineering deliverables.
Requirements:
- Level 0:
- 3+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 8 years.
- Level 1:
- 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 12 years.
- Level 2:
- 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 15 years.
- Level 3:
- 15+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 20 years.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
