Job Description
Comparison Operations Analyst
How you will make an impact:
We are looking for a commercially driven, partnership-focused individual to join our growing Comparison team. You will take ownership of our client and partner relationships, lead channel performance analysis, and drive the development of new comparison partnerships — all in service of our major UK comparison clients including Go.Compare and Confused.com.
This role sits at the intersection of commercial trading, relationship management, and product optimisation. You will be responsible for ensuring our comparison services run accurately and efficiently, reflecting the most up-to-date pricing and products in the market — ideally ahead of our competitors. You will use data to drive decisions, build strong partnerships, and contribute directly to the growth and performance of our comparison channels.
Please note: Our comparison services operate within UK insurance markets regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You will be expected to work within relevant regulatory guidelines and contribute to a culture of compliance and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
Primary Responsibilities:
Client & Partner Relationship Management
- Own day-to-day management of comparison client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for major UK partners including Go.Compare and Confused.com.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with comparison insurance partners, ensuring smooth communication, accurate product representation, and timely delivery of changes.
- Lead the development and onboarding of new comparison partnerships, from scoping through to live delivery.
Channel Performance & Commercial Analysis
- Lead channel trade analysis and performance reporting, translating data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct partner-level performance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across the comparison channel.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments, providing regular insights to inform product and commercial strategy.
- Track and report on consumer trends, contributing to product and positioning decisions that keep our services relevant and competitive.
Product & Channel Optimisation
- Lead on product optimisation initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve channel performance and customer experience.
- Scope and coordinate delivery of all channel changes and partner onboarding activity, working closely with internal product and development teams.
- Ensure comparison services reflect the most current and accurate products and pricing in the market at all times.
Compliance & Governance
- Work within FCA regulatory requirements applicable to UK insurance comparison, including adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with internal governance and audit requirements.
Knowledge & Skill:
Essential
- Proven background in comparison, online marketplace, or a related digital/commercial environment.
- Commercially astute, with a track record of driving value through data insight and channel performance analysis.
- Experienced in partnership or client relationship management, with the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships.
- Strong analytical mindset — confident working with data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Understanding of why consumers and providers use price comparison services, and what drives channel performance.
- Methodical and process-driven, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail — you take accuracy seriously and hold yourself and others to a high standard.
Desirable
- Direct experience working with major UK aggregators (e.g. Go.Compare, Confused.com, CompareTheMarket).
- Exposure to FCA-regulated insurance products or financial services environments.
- Experience leading or contributing to new partnership development and onboarding.
- Familiarity with the pet insurance or device/electronics insurance market.
Tools & Education
Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or Google equivalents) — you use these tools confidently for analysis, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.
- Comfortable working with online product databases and data portals.
Desirable:
- Experience with CRM, project management, or ticketing tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Salesforce).
- Familiarity with data visualisation or BI tools.
Education: No specific degree required. We value commercial acumen, analytical capability, and proven partnership management experience over formal qualifications.
