Job Description
Summary: Ontic is a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defense industries, and they are seeking a Finance Intern for their 2026 Internship Program. The intern will assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and operational cost analysis while collaborating with various teams to support financial decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support site performance monitoring and decision-making
- Partner with the finance team to support budgeting cycles, financial planning activities, and monthly close processes
- Analyze manufacturing and operational cost data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Support data accuracy and integrity by assisting with reconciliations, financial controls, and documentation processes
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to understand business drivers and support financial decision-making
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to site leadership summarizing your project work, key insights, and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship
- Gain hands-on exposure to finance within an aerospace manufacturing environment while developing technical and professional skills through mentorship and practical experience
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and cost analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn within a manufacturing and aerospace environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems or financial reporting tools is a plus
