Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to enable a great leadership and associate engagement at scale, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic talent interventions and hands-on execution. This role plays a critical role in shaping leadership effectiveness, strengthening organizational capability, and embedding a culture of performance, inclusion, and accountability in a high performing and growing organizational context.

About the Team:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) team is a strategic enabler of First Citizens’ mission to be client-centered, relationship-driven, and long-term focused. The team partners closely with business leaders to ensure that talent, leadership, and organizational capability are aligned to deliver sustained business outcomes.
The team serves as the strategic interface between the business and the broader HR function bringing together insights from the business, data, and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to design and deliver integrated, high-impact people solutions.

Key Deliverables (Duties and Responsibilities)
•
Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders to build high performing teams, develop, and retain top talent aligned with business outlook
•
Develop and execute talent and engagement strategies to build a high-performing, agile workforce in line with business objectives
•
Lead organizational design, change management, and workforce planning initiatives to drive business transformation
•
Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and programs, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization
•
Closely partner with leaders on timely and effective execution of key talent processes including talent reviews, succession planning, merit and promotion cycles
•
Ensure all talent and rewards decisions are fair, consistent and align with the overall organizational objectives of a high performance culture
•
Partner closely with employee relations on conflict resolution, and complex investigations, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
•
Translate data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for leaders
•
Facilitate leadership development, succession planning, and strategies for identifying and growing high-potential talent
•
Act as a culture steward and change agent, leading programs that foster innovation, engagement, and employee advocacy

Qualifications:
•
MBA/PGDBM in Human Resources or related areas. Relevant industry certifications preferred
•
15+ years of progressive HR experience with relevant experience in Banking industry
•
Proven ability to link HR strategy to business outcomes and influence senior stakeholders
•
Strong understanding of local labor laws, HR best practices, and talent management strategies
•
Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and independent decision-making in a fast-paced environment
•
Proven success in prior roles with visible business impact
