Summary: Oldcastle Building Envelope (OBE) is a company that contributes architectural glass and building products to various projects. They are seeking a CNC Operator I who will operate CNC, Laser, and WaterJet machinery to cut, form, drill, and fabricate metal parts while ensuring accurate production through reading blueprints and performing inspections. Responsibilities: - Operate CNC, Laser, and WaterJet machinery to cut, form, drill, and fabricate metal parts - Set up machines by loading programs, selecting tooling, adjusting offsets, and verifying job parameters - Read and interpret blueprints, CAD instructions, work orders, and product tags to ensure accurate production - Perform first-piece inspections and dimensional checks using precision measuring tools, documenting results as required - Maintain safe, organized operations by monitoring machine performance, handling materials, performing operator-level maintenance, and following safety and 5S procedures Required Qualifications: - Experience operating CNC machinery, including Laser Cutters and/or WaterJet cutting systems - Ability to understand and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation - Familiarity with machine controls, offsets, cutting parameters, and basic troubleshooting - Ability to consistently lift 75 lbs over a 10‑hour shift - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality, precision metal parts - Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently throughout the shift - Ability to stand on concrete in steel‑toe safety shoes for up to 12 hours per day - Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs on a regular basis - Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with the region (heat, humidity, etc.) Required Skills: CNC machinery operation, Laser cutting, WaterJet cutting, Blueprint reading, Technical drawing interpretation, Production documentation, Machine controls, Cutting parameters, Troubleshooting, Precision measuring tools, Operator-level maintenance, Material handling Benefits: Benefits that benefit you – industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employee, Work-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose, Compensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses, Training – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed
