Summary: Oklahoma State University is committed to enhancing the student experience through Campus Life initiatives. The Administrative Support Specialist I plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Campus Life office, providing essential administrative and customer service support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, confidential, and student-centered support
- Coordinate front-desk operations, records management, scheduling, correspondence, and administrative processes
- Ensure efficient office operations while supporting students, families, campus partners, and staff
Required Qualifications:
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Administrative Support Specialist I: 1 year of clerical/customer service experience
- Administrative Support Specialist II: 2 years of clerical/customer service experience
- Senior Administrative Support Specialist: 3 years of clerical/customer service experience
- Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience
- Experience in Microsoft Word and various other products in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in managing confidential and sensitive situations
- Ability to prioritize and work autonomously in a high-traffic environment
- Demonstrated history of initiative and ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations
- Ability to work with various populations
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
- Three years of experience
- Experience creating and maintaining detailed and confidential records strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Oklahoma State University computer systems
