Apprentice DevOps Engineer

In this apprentice role, you'll partner with application teams, platform engineering, and architecture groups to support the transition from a legacy deployment platform to infrastructure-as-code and modern cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities
Assist and improve infrastructure-as-code solutions in AWS via Terraform
Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance productivity
Work closely with senior engineers to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions
Support the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle
Document processes, tools, and workflows to support team knowledge sharing
Participate in troubleshooting and debugging infrastructure and application issues with guidance from senior engineers
What You'll Learn
Infrastructure-as-Code practices and Terraform fundamentals
CI/CD pipeline design and automation workflows
Cloud architecture concepts in AWS
Observability fundamentals (metrics, logging, alerting)
Real-world production support and incident response basics
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Basic programming/scripting experience (Python, Java, Go, or similar)
Foundational understanding of software development or cloud concepts
Strong interest in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation
Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment
Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions and seek feedback
