Job Description
Summary: Oceaneering is a leading global provider of engineered products and services to several industries, including energy, defense, and aerospace. The Material Control Analyst I is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of inventory records and material transactions, supporting operational readiness through effective inventory controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory and issue materials according to engineering project needs
- Coordinate the movement of materials between warehouse cages and the production floor
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Purchasing departments to properly store required inventoried materials
- Compile, review, and maintain inventoried product data, reports, and records
- Review requisitions and product specifications to accurately inventory products
- Inspect product/material and verify paperwork upon receipt of purchase orders from shipping and receiving
- Conduct parts and material data entry into the organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database
- Perform regular physical inventories and cycle counts
- Assist in investigating root causes of inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions
- Support disposition activities for phased-out/obsolete components
- Ensure compliance with company policies, FAR/DFARS, and government property requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in logistics, procurement, and/or supply support related jobs or activities
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- Proficient in MS Office applications and database management
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills with various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases
- Demonstrated knowledge and effective use of supply support processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of specific equipment and parts identification
- Demonstrated knowledge of specification review and parts validation
- Possess management, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, written comprehension, information ordering, active listening, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning
- Intermediate math, administration, and management skills
- Ability to write business correspondence and interact with others in a professional manner
