About the Role
The Count Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing count room functions and personnel.
Position Responsibilities
- Protect assets by ensuring strict compliance with established internal controls, policies, and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee and participate in the Slot drop.
- Train Count Room employees
- Maintains efficient operation of all procedures and daily routine of staff during the drop and in the count room
- Oversees the entire drop and money room operations on shift and verification of loose and bundled money and coin transactions and reconciles count to gaming systems.
- Verifies, monitors and reconciles distribution of bill acceptor cash boxes.
- Ensures count team comply with all Department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations
- Uphold strict standards of procedure compliance and confidentiality.
Essential Functions
- Observe safety policies and procedures including but not limited to safe lifting, use of ear plugs, use of properly working machinery.
- Must be able to properly and safely use equipment used during the daily operations of the count room including but not limited to the currency sorting machine, calculators, validator carts, and other equipment as necessary.
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push a wheeled cart on carpet and tile from a dead stop up to 300 pounds.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
