We are seeking an organized, customer-focused, and efficient Showroom Cashier and Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position is essential for providing excellent customer service at the point of sale and supporting the overall operations of our showroom. The ideal candidate will handle transactions accurately, assist customers with their inquiries, maintain a tidy showroom, and support sales staff.

Key Responsibilities Cashier Duties:

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances, reconciling at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Address customer questions regarding pricing, products, and store policies.
• Promote loyalty programs, special offers, and additional services to customers.

Showroom Assistant Duties:

• Greet customers warmly upon their arrival and offer assistance.
• Maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the showroom and checkout area, including dusting, tidying displays, and sweeping.
• Assist with product placement, visual merchandising, and ensuring items are correctly priced and labeled.
• Help customers locate products and provide basic product information.
• Support sales associates by preparing sales floor, organizing stock, and retrieving items from storage.
• Receive and process new merchandise, ensuring it is properly tagged and stocked.
• Assist with inventory counts and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a retail cashier, customer service, or showroom assistant role is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling money.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
