• Review tender design drawings, specifications, BOQ, etc.
• Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off and comparing with tender quantities
• Sending enquiries and obtaining prices, analyse prices, prepare material and labour cost estimation, and prepare bids.
• Preparation of List of Technical Queries for Consultant clarification.
• Preparation of Project Risk Analysis report.
• Attend pre-bid meetings with clients or consultants.
• Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of the project and meet the client Budget.
• Coordination with other staff to ensure that tender deadlines, procedures, and project requirements are met.
• Comprehension of local authority requirements and international standards.
• Coordinating with procurement and providing necessary technical support.
• Understand the complete needs of the project materials & methods for installation.
• Choose the best-suited suppliers to execute the jobs by analyzing their capacities and technical expertise.
• Negotiate sales agreement/SCA and obtain the best possible cost and time advantages for the Client.
• Manage the supplier's performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsibilities.
• Launch improvement programme to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Computer skills – MS office and Auto CAD
• Minimum experience – 8+ years as Estimator
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to talk to clients
