Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Land Surveyor – Infrastructure to perform surveying and setting out tasks for infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, drainage systems, and earthworks. The Land Surveyor will be responsible for accurate measurement, mapping, and layout of site elements in accordance with project drawings and specifications, ensuring proper execution on-site.
1. Surveying & Setting Out
- Carry out precise topographical surveys, boundary demarcation, and setting out for infrastructure works such as:
- Roads and pavements
- Drainage and sewerage systems
- Utility lines (water, electricity, telecom)
- Earthworks and grading
- Interpret design drawings and coordinate data with site teams for accurate layout.
2. Equipment Handling
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as:
- Total Station
- GPS (RTK)
- Auto Level / Digital Level
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of surveying tools and equipment.
3. Data Recording & Reporting
- Record site measurements, levels, and as-built data accurately.
- Prepare and maintain daily survey logs, sketches, and coordinate files.
- Submit as-built surveys, cross-sections, and alignment profiles to engineering teams.
4. Coordination & Site Support
- Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to provide required setting out and elevation references.
- Report any discrepancies between design and actual site conditions.
- Support QA/QC and consultants during inspections and approvals of layout and levels.
5. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure surveying activities comply with project specifications, tolerances, and local regulations.
- Monitor and verify earthwork volumes, backfilling, and compaction levels where applicable.
