An HVAC Draftsman who can create detailed technical drawings, layouts, and shop drawings for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using AutoCAD

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled HVAC Draftsman/Design Engineer to support our Sales & Projects team. The role involves preparation of HVAC shop drawings, material submittals, and bill of quantities (BOQs) for various projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, piping, and equipment layout, with hands-on expertise in AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed HVAC shop drawings using AutoCAD based on design and site requirements.
• Extract quantities of ducting, piping, grilles, and other HVAC components from drawings.
• Prepare HVAC material submittals in line with project specifications.
• Assist in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material take-off preparation for estimation and procurement.
• Ensure HVAC designs adhere to relevant standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Update and revise drawings as per site conditions and design changes.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HVAC drafting/design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for HVAC shop drawing preparation.
• Good understanding of ductwork layout, pipe routing, and HVAC component placement.
• Strong ability to read and interpret HVAC design and construction drawings.
• Experience in preparing BOQs and material take-offs.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan the site visit as per Job card or as per the sales team requirements
• Performance review, internal training of Draughtsman
• To provide Technical support to Sales Team & Customer.
• Allocate the sites to Junior Draftsman for visit and update the status in production plan
• Review the status of pending drawings, site visits, and technical issue with PM
• Providing related coils detail to sales team as per the customer query.
• Sending drawings to sales personnel for customer approval.
• Follow up with customer for approved drawings.
• As per production plan the release of Drawing & CNC program to shop floor.
• Involvement with production and QA for process improvements.
• Item code creation in ORACLE for make items, routing and attach BOM template.
• Operating Coil selection program ( Win Coil) and provide support to Sales & Customer.
