About the Role

We are looking for a versatile, motivated individual to manage and develop our websites, build custom web applications and support our social media marketing activities.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with WordPress, be comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and development, and have the technical ability to build and maintain websites and custom applications.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, solve problems and use modern technology to help grow our business.

Key Responsibilities1. Website Development & WordPress

• Create, build, update and maintain WordPress websites.
• Manage WordPress themes, plugins, pages, forms and website functionality.
• Customise WordPress websites to meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot website errors, improve performance and maintain security.
• Build responsive, mobile-friendly websites.
• Manage website backups, updates and ongoing maintenance.

2. Full-Stack Development & Custom Applications

• Develop custom websites, web applications and internal business tools.
• Work with front-end and back-end technologies, databases and APIs.
• Create features such as online booking systems, enquiry forms, customer portals and garage management tools.
• Integrate third-party services and automate business processes.
• Maintain existing applications and troubleshoot technical issues.

3. AI Tools & Automation

• Confidently use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms.
• Use AI to assist with coding, debugging, website development and problem-solving.
• Use AI to generate and improve website content, marketing copy, ideas and social media posts.
• Understand how to write effective prompts and verify AI-generated code and content.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve business efficiency.
• Use AI as a practical working tool rather than relying on it without understanding the results.

4. Social Media & Digital Marketing

• Manage social media accounts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Create engaging posts, promotional graphics, videos and marketing content.
• Plan and schedule content consistently.
• Support SEO, website traffic growth and online lead generation.
• Monitor engagement and marketing performance.
• Assist with Google Ads, Meta Ads and other digital marketing campaigns where required.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Some previous practical experience in web development, WordPress or digital marketing.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining WordPress websites.
• The ability to build, update and troubleshoot websites independently.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with experience in at least one back-end technology or framework.
• The ability to develop or contribute to custom web applications.
• Practical experience using AI tools for coding, content creation, research, troubleshooting or automation.
• An understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English.

Desirable Skills

The following will be an advantage:

• React, Next.js, Node.js, PHP or Python.
• WordPress custom themes, plugin configuration and custom development.
• Database design, API integrations and workflow automation.
• SEO, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Canva, Adobe tools and video editing.
• Google Ads and Meta advertising.
• AI-powered applications, chatbots and business process automation.
