Job Description
Summary: NVR, Inc., through its Ryan Homes brand, is seeking a Permit Administrator to support its homebuilding division. The role coordinates permit applications, documentation, agency communications, approvals, project records, timelines, and construction start packages to help ensure homes begin construction on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the permit application process for new home construction projects
- Gather, review, and organize required documents to support permit submissions
- Track permit applications and follow up with local agencies to ensure timely approvals
- Serve as the main point of contact between internal teams, consultants, vendors, utility providers, and government agencies
- Coordinate responses to agency comments and help ensure required revisions are completed and resubmitted
- Maintain accurate project records and update company databases and document management systems
- Manage permit-related fees, applications, and supporting documents throughout the approval process
- Monitor project timelines and communicate status updates to key stakeholders
- Prepare and distribute approved permits, plans, and construction documents to field personnel
- Assemble project start packages and help ensure homes are ready to begin construction on schedule
Required Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States, as NVR does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, permitting, project coordination, administration, or a related field is preferred but not required
