Intern - Finance at NSF in Ann Arbor, MI

Summary: NSF is offering a rotational internship within their Finance function, providing exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis. The role involves collaborating with senior Finance leaders and gaining knowledge of the testing, inspection, and certification industry. Responsibilities: - Supports the forecast, budget and business plan process within the global business unit or function - Support development of business case for any initiative driven by the global business unit or function - Support month-end close with variance analysis and journal entry preparation and collaborate with general ledger team to improve month end process Required Qualifications: - Must be a high school graduate and actively pursuing a higher level of education in Finance or Accounting - Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc - Must have a working knowledge of the main financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement) - Excellent analytical skills - Strong written and oral communication skills - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to function as an individual contributor and/or member of a team Required Skills: Financial Planning, Financial Analysis, Microsoft Office Important Skills: Financial Statements Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical Skills, Customer Service
