Working within the Engineering Design team based in Kuala Lumpur in the production of high-quality process modules for the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be part of a dynamic team taking designs from concept to delivery by leading the structural engineering team. This role requires a high-level knowledge of structural engineering principles and design skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible to assist Structural Lead Engineer in on time delivery of optimum and high quality structural design.

2. Capable of performing Topside structural analysis independently including In-place, Pre-Service analysis, Secondary steel and tertiary steel design specifically FPSO Topsides.

3. Liaise with other disciplines engineers for all work related activities.

4. Be fully familiar with department and company procedures, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.

5. Read, understand and apply Project specifications, National and International Standards in the preparation and revision of accurate, error free, non-ambiguous engineering calculations.

6. Provide Tendering support which include structural steel MTO top-down estimation aswell as bottom-up method through preliminary structural analysis.

7. Read, understand and apply Project or Tender specifications, National and International standards in the checking of engineering calculations or review and checking of engineering and fabrication drawings to ensure they are accurate, error free and non-ambiguous.

8. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

9. Liaise with engineering subcontractor in ensuring timely delivery of engineering deliverables to expected quality.

10. Good knowledge in HSE ensuring personal/team compliance with legislation and Company policies.

11. Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by Operations Manager.
