Engineering Intern at NOV in Houston, TX

They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern who will support the engineering team in the design, documentation, and evaluation of mechanical components used in downhole tools and related equipment. Responsibilities: - Assist with the creation and modification of CAD models and drawings, primarily using SolidWorks - Support engineering projects through design revisions, documentation updates, and technical data review - Participate in inspection and measurement of components using tools such as scales, calipers, and measuring tapes - Assist with testing activities and operation of engineering test equipment used to evaluate drilling tool performance - Help prepare technical documentation including reports, engineering bulletins, and design notes - Work with engineering and sales/operations teams to support product improvements and troubleshooting efforts - Follow all facility health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures while working in engineering and shop environments Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Strong written and verbal communication skills - High attention to detail and strong organizational ability - Demonstrated initiative and a strong work ethic - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks - Ability to properly use basic measuring devices such as scales, calipers, and measuring tapes Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks Important Skills: Microsoft Office, Measuring Devices Nice-to-Have Skills: Organizational Ability
