Job Description
Summary: Norton Rose Fulbright is a global law firm with a strong strategic focus and a commitment to innovation. They are seeking a motivated Intern to join their Finance and Accounting team, providing hands-on experience in financial analysis, planning, accounting, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team by gathering and analyzing data, preparing variance analyses (actuals vs. budget/forecast), and assisting with financial and management reporting
- Assist the Accounting team with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations
- Conduct research and provide support for special projects in collaboration with the Finance team
- Support the Firm’s Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice tracking, payment verification, and aging report updates
- Collaborate with team members across the department to understand end-to-end financial information flows, identify improvement opportunities, and present findings to the CFO at the end of the internship
- Identify opportunities to leverage the Firm’s AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency and streamline finance processes
Required Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled at an undergraduate university
- Entering senior year preferred, although will also consider those entering junior year
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated interest in working with AI tools
- Strong organization and communication skills and a high-level attention to detail
- Prior professional experience preferred, but not required
- Available to work full-time during the summer
- Ability to work overtime as needed
