Job Description
Summary: Northwestern Mutual is a Fortune 500 company that has been aiding individuals and businesses in financial planning for over 165 years. They are seeking full-time Financial Advisors to develop client practices and provide comprehensive financial planning services across various life stages.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting, networking, and developing a pipeline of prospective clients through referrals, community engagement, and outreach
- Conducting discovery meetings, building personalized financial plans, and implementing solutions aligned to clients’ goals
- Managing ongoing client relationships and servicing policies and portfolios over time
- Completing licensing and continuing education requirements and maintaining accurate records and compliance standards
- Working with office specialists and mentors to coordinate client solutions and grow your business
Required Qualifications:
- Complete required licensing and continuing education requirements
- Maintain accurate records and compliance standards
- Develop a client practice and guide clients through planning conversations
- Prospecting, networking, and developing a pipeline of prospective clients
- Conducting discovery meetings and building personalized financial plans
- Managing ongoing client relationships and servicing policies and portfolios
- Work with office specialists and mentors to coordinate client solutions
- Demonstrated client-facing experience (sales, financial services, mortgage, real estate, insurance, business development, education, or related fields)
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated individuals who seek autonomy
- Strong communicators who are coachable, results-oriented, and committed to a client-first approach
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with significant relevant experience
- Support toward CFP® certification is available for qualified advisors
