Job Description
Summary: Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense technology company, and they are seeking an Engineer Software - Test & Integration. The role involves working with a team to modernize software infrastructure production and participating in the software development cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of developers and integrators focused on delivering software products as part of an IFC
- Participate in the software development cycle including design, implementation and delivery of build/test/release
- Work with object oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML and related technologies (i.e., XPath, XSLT, XSD)
- Work in a process-oriented software development environment across the software lifecycle
- Collaborate with team members on a regular basis
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Java programming language
- Experience with one or more of the scripting languages: Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash
- Experience with Agile software development, object-oriented programming, software integration and testing
- Active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in a cloud-based environment
- Experience with Java microservices, Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications, threading, intermediate object-oriented programming, design patterns, Data Distribution Service (DDS) messaging, web technologies, Unified Modeling Language (UML), database essentials and SQL/NoSQL
