Summary: Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense company that offers innovative solutions to global challenges. They are seeking a Business Management Analyst level 1 or 2 to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems division, focusing on cost control, financial analysis, and program planning. Responsibilities: - Set up cost control system and monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system - Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and perform and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis - Perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines - Prepare program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled - Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding - Conduct cost analysis to develop EACs, generate financial inputs, and support monthly cost and schedule reviews - Assist CAMs with EVMS activities including: WBS alignment, time phasing of tasks, developing and documenting earned value methodologies, monthly performance measurement, estimate to complete analysis and updates, and variance analysis research and reporting - Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines - Perform miscellaneous financial analysis as required - Continually assess and improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies and participate in month-end financial reporting close activities - Identify pressures and opportunities, and develop recovery plans as required - Travel will be required 10% Required Qualifications: - Requires a related bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience; or 5 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree (level 2 requires 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's; 1 year with a master's degree; or 6 years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree) - Requires experience with PC and with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel - Requires experience with any of the following: SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek, CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, MS Project/Oracle Primavera, or Schedule software tools Preferred Qualifications: - Degree and/or experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling - Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) Principals and applying Earned Value Techniques in an Aerospace & Defense environment - Experience with other EVMS Software (i.e., SAP, SAP BW, Deltek Cobra, Open Plan, MPM, Acumen One IWO, Primavera P6) - Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines - Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Excellent problem solving and organizational skills - Strong analytical ability Required Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, MS Excel, SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek, CostPoint, Deltek Cobra, Deltek MPM, MS Project, Oracle Primavera, Schedule software tools, Earned Value Management (EVM), Financial analysis, Cost control, Budget preparation, Schedule preparation, Program cost analysis, Program scheduling, Analytical ability Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage, 401k, Educational Assistance, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions, Paid Time Off, Health & Wellness Resources, Employee Discounts
