Job Summary
Revelstoke Mountain Sports School seeks to recruit and retain experienced, attentive and enthusiastic employees to represent the Mountain Sports School as an AST 1 trainer to conduct AST 1 courses on resort. Our focus is to provide our Guests with a memorable experience at RMR, in a fun and safe learning environment for all participants.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the AST 1 courses in class and on snow
Follow Avalanche Canada/RMR’s AST 1 curriculum, classroom policies and IT policies
Participate in the development of Avalanche Canada/RMR’s AST 1 team and curriculum
Coordinate with snow school desk staff on facilities, materials, equipment preparedness
Required Qualifications and Abilities
Work eligibility in Canada CAA member in good standing Completed Avalanche Operations 1 Experience teaching AST 1 courses Meet the continuing professional development requirements established by Avalanche Canada Can produce physical SIN card or valid revenue Canada doc including full SIN number Bondable, with a criminal record check less than 3 months old
