Summary: The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is part of the City of San José, which plays a key role in improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and equity of services provided to the city’s residents. The Office of the City Auditor is seeking motivated individuals for Senior Program Performance Auditor and Program Performance Auditor I/II positions to lead or support performance audits of City operations.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of audits, including identifying areas of inquiry, developing audit programs, overseeing data collection and analysis, preparing audit findings and reports, and directing the work of other auditors to achieve audit objectives
- Analyze complex operations, financial and organizational issues, evaluate alternatives, develop fact-based findings and recommendations to improve City services

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of relevant experience in performance auditing
- Bachelor's Degree. Senior Program Performance Auditors generally require five (5) years of performance auditing experience
- Knowledge of government programs and operations and Government Auditing Standards
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, writing, creative problem-solving, and leadership skills
- It is required for candidates to attach a cover letter and resume to their application

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or professional certification
