RF Hardware Design Intern at Nokia in Coppell, TX

They are seeking a TRX / PSU Hardware Design Intern who will contribute to component selection, schematic drawing, and testing of electronic circuits while gaining hands-on experience in hardware design and troubleshooting. Responsibilities: - Component (chip) selection, drawing schematics, and soldering of electronic components - Coding and running automated laboratory test scripts to test individual circuits as well as overall systems - Troubleshooting design issues and brainstorming with the team to find a fix - Analog circuit simulation, digital circuit simulation - Reliability prediction calculations Required Qualifications: - Currently a candidate for a Master's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited school in the US - Career interest and Undergraduate or Graduate coursework related to Wireless Communications Systems, Analog circuit design, PSU design, Digital circuit design, and RF performance testing - Experience with, or comfortable learning to use, test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal generators, Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes, voltage meters, and power supplies, a soldering iron, and basic hand tools - Familiar with creating content in Microsoft Office apps, including Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications: - Previous work/lab experience in RF or Digital hardware circuit design development, implementation, and/or validation testing - Work/lab experience with RF and or digital test equipment and the use of RF/Analog simulation tools - Experience in circuit schematic design and PCB CAD layout - Experience in the analysis and presentation of test data - Familiarity with Python scripting Required Skills: Analog circuit design, Digital circuit design, RF performance testing Important Skills: Circuit schematic design, Python scripting, Test equipment usage Nice-to-Have Skills: Microsoft Office, Troubleshooting, Soldering Benefits: Flexible and hybrid working schemes to balance study, work, and life, Professional development events and networking opportunities, Well-being programs, including Personal Support Service 24/7 - a confidential support channel open to all Nokia employees and their families in challenging situations, Opportunities to join Nokia Employee Resource Groups (NERGs) and build connections across the organization, Employee Growth Solutions, mentorship programs, and coaching support for your career development, A learning environment that fosters both personal growth and professional development – for your role and beyond
