The Process Engineering Intern will support engineering staff with various tasks aimed at improving production processes and contribute to engineering projects. Responsibilities: - Support engineering staff with data collection, process observations, and basic analysis on assigned production lines - Assist in drafting, updating, and organizing SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation - Participate in engineering projects such as equipment upgrades, workflow improvements, process optimization trials, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) - Prepare materials, records, and documentation for process studies and improvement initiatives - Support troubleshooting efforts by gathering information, documenting issues, and assisting engineers with temporary or permanent solutions - Track KPIs, update dashboards, and prepare summary reports for the engineering team - Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and continuous improvement workshops - Assist in developing training materials and supporting production teams during new process rollouts - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Production, and Maintenance - Contribute to engineering initiatives involving CAD/CAM, equipment evaluations, process characterization, or material handling projects Required Qualifications: - Minimum qualification of a rising junior or senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field - Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and problem‑solving methodologies - Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data - Foundational knowledge of statistical concepts and process analysis tools (coursework acceptable) - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship or project experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment - Exposure to regulated industries such as medical device, aerospace, or automotive - Familiarity with CAD or CAM tools is a plus Required Skills: Manufacturing processes, Engineering principles, Data collection Important Skills: Statistical concepts, Microsoft Excel Nice-to-Have Skills: CAD/CAM familiarity Benefits: Annual performance bonus, Medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match
