Summary: Nobel Biocare is a dental prosthetics manufacturing organization committed to operational excellence and engineering innovation. The Process Engineering Intern will support daily engineering needs in the production environment, assisting with data collection, process documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering staff with data collection, process observations, and basic analysis on assigned production lines
- Assist in drafting, updating, and organizing SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
- Participate in engineering projects such as equipment upgrades, workflow improvements, process optimization trials, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Prepare materials, records, and documentation for process studies and improvement initiatives
- Support troubleshooting efforts by gathering information, documenting issues, and assisting engineers with temporary or permanent solutions
- Track KPIs, update dashboards, and prepare summary reports for the engineering team
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and continuous improvement workshops
- Assist in developing training materials and supporting production teams during new process rollouts
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Production, and Maintenance
- Contribute to engineering initiatives involving CAD/CAM, equipment evaluations, process characterization, or material handling projects

Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of sophomore year preferred
- Rising juniors and seniors
