Summary: NMDP is an organization focused on supporting its mission through student engagement on college campuses. The Campus Chapter Intern role involves educating, recruiting, and fundraising to grow the NMDP Registry, while fostering relationships with students and campus organizations. Responsibilities: - Engage student peers in alignment with the pillars of the NMDP Chapters program to educate, recruit, and fundraise in support of the NMDP mission - Fulfill a leadership role within the NMDP Chapter on their campus, which includes growing and engaging the chapter membership - Ensure the chapter is officially recognized and has good standing with the university - Fulfill all expectations of the NMDP Chapters program - Conduct registry recruitment with the support and guidance of a regional Member Recruitment staff team - Deliver genetically varied public health information through the planning and coordination of registry awareness, education, and recruitment activities - Collaborate with internal NMDP partners and external partners, such as the intern’s campus community network, to maximize NMDP’s lifesaving impact - Build and sustain campus relationships and inspire committed student peers to join the NMDP registry - Lead weekly on-campus activations including captive audience presentations, tabling, collaboration with other campus stakeholders, or NMDP recruitment events - Create, develop and/or maintain a registered student organization on campus including hosting executive board and general body meetings, recruiting new members, and staying in good standing with the college/university Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at a targeted college or university - Completed at least 30-hours of coursework - Minimum GPA 2.8 - Ability to learn, retain, and communicate lifesaving information about NMDP to spread awareness, educate, and grow the NMDP Registry within the campus community - Leverage strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with other students and campus organizations - Build enthusiasm and inspire the campus community about NMDP's lifesaving community through engaging conversations and public speaking - Be highly organized and effectively manage your time, balancing the responsibilities of the internship with academic and other responsibilities - Adapt and problem-solve when things don't initially go as planned - Lead weekly on-campus activations including, captive audience presentations, tabling, collaboration with other campus stakeholders, or NMDP recruitment event - Work in a remote environment under minimum in-person supervision and demonstrate consistent dependability - Learn and become proficient in NMDP's member registration process - Use social media platforms to effectively promote NMDP's lifesaving mission - Create, develop and/or maintain a registered student organization on campus including hosting executive board and general body meetings, recruiting new members, staying in good standing with the college/university - Comply with NMDP's confidentiality policy - Utilize computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet search applications Preferred Qualifications: - Preference given to students who are currently NMDP Chapter members, NMDP Ambassadors and/or NMDP volunteers Required Skills: Public speaking, Event coordination, Interpersonal skills Important Skills: Social media marketing, Organizational skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Computer proficiency, Team collaboration, Problem-solving, Time management Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and disability, Accident/critical illness/hospital, Well-being, Legal, Identity theft, Pet benefits, Retirement, Paid time off/holidays, Leave, Incentive plans
