Summary: NJM Insurance Group is a leading mid-sized U.S. property and casualty insurance company. The Insurance Product Management Analyst will apply data analysis to support business strategies and goals, develop presentations and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with governance standards. Responsibilities: - Assist in the development of intelligent insights from analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, testing basic hypotheses, running exploratory analysis and identifying trends in support of business strategies and goals. Assists in translating results/findings into clear and concise presentations for management and develop plans for corrective action. Assist in the development and enhancement of department KPI dashboards, analytics and reports to monitor performance to create a comprehensive view of the business - Assist in collaborating with cross-functional business teams and Data Engineers to fully understand the meaning, business rules and structure of required data and ensure alignment and consistency of data to support the end-to-end journey. Partner with the department Business Process Unit to identify, plan and prioritize source system improvements that facilitate data analytics - Assist in expanding understanding/knowledge of business processes and competitive environments. Scan the market to understand key trends impacting markets, customers, products, services and operational processes - Assist in complying with Data Governance standards and guidelines for data definition, quality, accuracy, completeness, availability and security to encourage data integrity and conformance Required Qualifications: - BS from a 4-year accredited college/university in related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Finance etc.) or equivalent experience - Basic analytical aptitude with the ability to turn raw data into presentations containing insights and visualizations that are critical in making strategic business decisions - Technical knowledge with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment - Ability to read and understand data models - Strong verbal and written communication skills - 1+ years writing queries (T-SQL) - 1+ years using business intelligence tools (Power BI, SSRS, SAS, Excel) Required Skills: Data analysis, Data visualization, T-SQL, Business intelligence tools, Power BI, SSRS, SAS, Excel, Data modeling Benefits: 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, Generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, Paid parental leave, State-mandated leave, Discretionary bonuses
