Job Description
Summary: Nissan Motor Corporation is at the forefront of innovation in the automotive industry, focusing on enhancing customer experience through technology. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to work on new software and hardware platforms, contributing to the development and validation of applications for connected vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Work on new software/hardware platforms which include sensors, interaction methods, mobile solutions (in/out of car), partner solutions and connected cloud services to end user services
- The work will range from ideation to joint development of new applications, all the way to validation with our partners and customers
- Program, develop, and prototype mobile and embedded applications using the latest technology solutions and software
- Build-up of proof of concepts and prototypes leading to production
- Analyze potential technology alternatives and experiment with the latest innovations
- Work collaboratively with internal product/services managers, research/innovation teams from Nissan, the Renault-Nissan Alliance and also 3rd parties
Required Qualifications:
- Currently be pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or similar
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Strong C++ or Java coding ability
- Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
- Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning and signal processing methods for various data : vehicle sensors data, biosensing data, video data
- Experience integrating a variety of HMIs and sensors
- Hands-on experience building mobile/desktop
- Experience with Android development
- Human subject experimentation
- Experience with iOS development
- Experience with 3D CG programming and modeling (Unity, OpenGL, Blender)
