Retail Measurement System is the key focus of Nielsen IQ and we are moving towards providing a 360 degree view of retail information around the world. This role is to validate and sign off the features developed in RMS. To ensure the quality of the data we are reporting to our customers are accurate and in line with their requirement. Establish right process to ensure quality of the deliverable on a monthly basis and work in an agile way. Perform technical and functional validations whenever required to validate the output. Hands on experience in right technical skills needed for a backend validation and some coding basics to perform automation .
Responsibility:
Responsible for both the design, development and implementation of short- and long-term solutions to information technology (IT) needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure and the management of the IT infrastructure within an organization.
Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements
Performs quality assurance and testing in an environment that typically uses state-of-the-art software applications testing processes (i.e., testing "clean room") but may also include manual QA/Testing
Drafts, revises and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy
Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
Collaborates with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha and beta testing
Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved
May develop, revise and approve quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedure
Good automation skills with hands on experience.
Prepare test data required for validations using sql and validate all possible scenarios for every projects assigned.
Perform regression testing every release and provide sign off on time with accuracy.
Analyze and prepare test plan, test cases for future projects with proper estimates.
Documenting functional topics and maintaining standard test suite for all functionalities.
Update the test suite every release with new cases introduced.
qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in Functional and backend testing experience.
Hands on test automation development using Selenium , Playwright or any standard framework.
Good SQL skills and Python, Shell scripting.
Hands on experience in test case, test plan and test strategy creation.
Basics of AI/ML and using AI coding assistants such as Copilot in day to day work
