THE ROLE: Senior Software Engineer – AI Studio This role exists because AI Studio — Hyperstack's platform for fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying generative AI workloads — is growing fast and needs engineers who can take real ownership of the systems behind it. You'll design and build the core backend services, APIs, and user-facing features that orchestrate model training, evaluation, and deployment at scale, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape how the platform evolves. This is a role for someone who takes accountability for production systems, thinks carefully about architecture, and wants to see the direct impact of their work on a platform used by thousands of AI teams. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like: Design, build, and evolve core backend services and platform components — making architectural decisions that support scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability Develop and maintain both backend services and user-facing interfaces that support AI workflows including model training, evaluation, and deployment Improve system observability, diagnose production issues, and optimise performance to keep the platform running reliably at scale Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews — actively helping raise engineering standards across the team Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate complex requirements into production-ready systems and features Support and mentor other engineers through design discussions, collaboration, and code reviews Identify opportunities to improve architecture, tooling, and development processes that enhance platform quality and developer productivity ABOUT YOU: We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV.
