Summary: NewsBreak is the Content Intelligence platform shaping the future content economy, and they are seeking an Engineering Intern to work in their venture team focused on AI Innovation. The intern will help ideate, validate, and launch AI-driven startups from concept to early traction, working at the intersection of technology, product, and entrepreneurship. Responsibilities: - This is not an “AI strategy” role — this is a 0→1 builder position for someone who can architect intelligent systems, validate markets, and spin out venture-scale businesses - The ideal candidate must be able to do rapid prototyping, and readily build relationships across startups, venture capital firms, startup accelerators, and other ecosystem partners - Discern how NewsBreak can support project/portfolio company growth trajectories through technical enablement (user acquisition, product-led growth, monetization etc.) Required Qualifications: - Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (undergraduate, masters or PhD) from top tier University, able to code - Previous working experience in Software engineering, ML engineering experience - Founder's mindset, builder's mentality and strong problem-solving skills - Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills and strong executive presence with an ability to present thoughtful input to decision-making Preferred Qualifications: - Founder Experience - Progressive business experience in early-stage venture investing or from top-tier MBA - Existing network in the San Francisco Bay Area's startup ecosystem - Passion for innovative technologies and artificial intelligence, with a strong pulse on key trends, themes and players Required Skills: Software engineering, Machine Learning engineering Important Skills: Computer Science degree Nice-to-Have Skills: Executive presence, Founder mindset, Passion for AI
