• Produce engaging newsletters for subscribers.
• Write clear, timely and effective app alerts.
• Use audience data, SEO and digital trends to maximise story performance.
• Support breaking news coverage across digital channels.
• Contribute original reporting across digital and print.
• Generate fresh ideas to grow audience reach and subscriptions.

• A clear understanding of what makes an effective headline and how to package journalism for digital audiences
• Knowledge of social media best practice and audience engagement strategies
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and confidently under tight deadlines
• Curiosity, initiative and a strong sense of what readers want
• Knowledge of agriculture and regional Australia is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is equally valued

This is an opportunity to join Australia’s leading agricultural masthead at a pivotal time for the industry and for rural and regional Australia. The Weekly Times covers the stories that matter most, from major agribusiness deals and commodity markets to politics, food production, rural property and the people driving change across regional communities.
